Our objective was to (try) to keep four adventurous Siamese cats 'at home'.  After showing them how the paddles worked, we witnessed two of the cats make unsuccessful escape attempts on Day 1.  After that first day, they gave up trying and have been at home (and safe) ever since.

...It was all surprisingly easy to put together. I'm no handy-person, but didn't find it too much of a challenge. It looks great, and doesn't interfere with the garden. Visitors don't even notice it. Our cat was secure, other cats are kept out, and rats no longer run across the fence.
